Not wanting to specialize, but open to the occasional pregnant client? This course provides information for healthy, low-risk clients seeking pregnancy discomfort reduction.
In this introductory interactive and challenging course, our instructors will discuss the physical/emotional changes, benefits, contraindications, interview considerations, bolstering, table positioning, setting suggestions, supply needs and intake/consent forms.
Massage & Pregnancy:
An Introductory technique class that begins with safe client positioning, bolstering and draping for your pregnant client. The course then focuses on massage during pregnancy and gives therapists the basic knowledge and skills to work safely and effectively with healthy pregnant women. Class is demonstrated in a side-line position. Pre-Requisite: The Essentials of Massage and Pregnancy. Technique hand-outs included with lecture.
This Pregnancy Massage class is presented as 14 or 16 continuing education hours.
