Sterling Richards LMT, MS, BCMT, CSCS, BCTMB

Sterling Richards LMT, MS, BCMT, CSCS, BCTMB

Instructor

Learning about the human body from his own experiences as a competitive athlete as well as through the injuries he sustained during sports, Sterling decided to study kinesiology and biomechanics as an undergraduate student. He continued his education earning a MS in Exercise Physiology, paying special attention to injury rehabilitation.  As an NCAA All-American Athlete, sports performance, in conjunction with health, wellness and rehabilitation, led Sterling to pursue teaching in order to help others develop the skills needed to enhance the lives of those around them. Still, there seemed to be a void in his education, at which time he decided to return to school for massage therapy. Manual therapy was the perfect addition to his practice as it has allowed him to gain greater knowledge of the human body and how the power of touch improves its function.
Dr. Robert Silverberg AP, BCTMB

Dr. Robert Silverberg AP, BCTMB

Instructor

A graduate of the University of Rochester, I was first introduced to acupuncture and Chinese medicine while living in New York and working in the music industry. Being in a very corporate and competitive environment, my days were filled with stress that eventually took a toll on my health and happiness. This all changed once I began to experience the healing benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. They not only helped me cope with my stressful life during that time, but also my aches and pains, sleep, digestion, energy levels, and overall sense of well-being.

As I learned more about this ancient medicine, my passion for it grew and I soon realized it was something I could share with others and pursue as my chosen field. After more than ten years, I decided to leave my music biz career and never looked back! I relocated to Austin, TX and attended the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. Studying with top practitioners from Chengdu, China, it was there that I developed my expertise not only in acupuncture and herbal medicine, but also other natural healing modalities including moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, tui na massage, qi gong, and tai chi.

As an acupuncture physician, I have treated patients in different healthcare settings all over the world including private practices, hospitals, community clinics, and even on cruise ships based in Australia! I love that I can do acupuncture almost anywhere! I am now practicing this medicine in Florida to be closer to my parents and sister who relocated to Winter Park. I currently retain licenses in both Texas and Florida.

And while I have the utmost respect for western medicine, as my own father is a retired physician, I believe there are too many individuals today who have unnecessary surgeries and/or are overmedicated. It is my passion to introduce as many people as possible to the more natural and holistic ways of healing that Chinese medicine provides. It is my sincere belief that everyone has the ability heal given proper treatment, guidance, and lifestyle. I am excited to help you get there!
